Moving away from the arty and ambiguous message that flourished in the 60s, Porsche adopted a more practical approach to its message. Blame the oil crisis, which forced manufacturers to ‘explain’ their products.
The key messages of comfort, road capability and reliability were emphasised to aid the decision making process.
There was a more descriptive tone that, while retaining Porsche values, offered a degree of accessibility to the potential buyer.
