Style for Miles begins its quest for Porsche driving heaven in Germany, naturally

What’s the ultimate Porsche drive? It’s a question that Style for Miles will be asking and answering in equal measure, with the aim of delivering driving inspiration. And where better to begin this mission to motoring nirvana than Germany’s famed Black Forest High Road.

Of course, to make it truly memorable you’ll require not just an amazing route, but fantastic accomodation and memorable points of interest. After arriving in Stuttgart and checking into the 5* Le Meridian hotel, make your way to the hallowed halls of the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, then lunch at the onsite Christophorus restaurant. In the evening it’s time to collect your driving partner, Epik suggest either a 718 Boxster S or 911 GTS Cabriolet to accompany you, then complete a tour briefing. Dinner is at the stylish Cube restaurant nearby.
After breakfast it's time to hit the road, assisted by a pre-programmed GPS and a day-by-day road-book, and head to Hohenzollern Castle, the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern dynasty, less than an hour away, then settle back into your Porsche to experience the legendary Black Forest roads to the full.
After stopping for lunch at the Restaurant Schwarzwaldstube at Hotel Traube-Tonbach in Baiersbronn, rated as the best in the region, it’s then onto the most scenic section of the majestic Black Forest High Road, with the ultimate destination the spa-town of Baden-Baden.
Then settle in for an overnight stay at the stunning 5* Brenner’s Park Hotel, resplendent in its sumptuous forest surroundings. Dinner is at the acclaimed Rizzi Restaurant.

It’s now time to tackle the most engaging section of the Black Forest High Road, heading South towards the Black Forest Open Air Museum Vogtsbauernhof, where the history of the Black Forest and its culture comes to life. Visitors will find out how people lived and worked in Black farm houses during the last 400 years.

Now refreshed, it’s time to stretch your Porsche legs on the Autobahn as you head back to Stuttgart, where the car is collected. Dinner is at the Alte Kanzlei Restaurant, with an overnight stay at the 5* LeMeridien, before heading home the next day.
